Basic Tool Kit

Each student should have all of these tools at each class, plus any other tools specified by the teacher.

Graphic 45 Projects

Mystic GessoIn this class, you will choose to make either a mini album or a memory box with a mini book using the latest papers from Graphic 45. If you love the vintage look, this class is for you. The mini album uses a Maya Road album with envelopes and chipboard pages. The memory box is an altered paper mache box with a dome. Each project has lots of embellishments, and techniques included. We will be using crackle, decoupage and Glimmer Mist. You can sign up for one or both projects, but will only have time to complete one of them in class.

Mystic Gesso

Mystic GessoIn this first of my series of classes exploring the use of texture in collage in more depth, the student will be creating with Gesso. In particular the class will explore the opaque properties of Gesso for a misty, shabby look that makes collage Magic. Also introduced in the class is a second texture medium call White Opaque Flakes.

Please bring a pair of scissors and a variety of paintbrushes. You may also bring a favorite image that will be big enough for a 6X6 canvas. Please make sure that you only bring a toner copy, not an inkjet image. Unless you have an Epson permanent ink printer your inkjet image will smear. If you don’t have an image in mind, feel free to use mine. I will have more than enough for everyone. Come and Play!

Memories Album

Memories AlbumPut your special memories in this Bazzill gatefold album with two signatures. Lots of embellishments, flowers and birds throughout! We'll use vintage papers from Anna Griffin.

Grungeboard Tag Book

Grungeboard Tag Book

Make 5 cool tags using assorted products and techniques. Four tags will tuck inside and one will embellish the cover of your 3 ½ x 5 book. You’ll work with Distress Inks, Embossing Powders, Crackle and Stickles as well as Lumiere & Glimmer Mist to finish all the tags and cover. The inside envelopes (included) can be embellished by you at home. Complete directions for finishing the book are included.

Please bring Black archival ink pad, Ranger Distress Inks in any and all colors, ink blender sponges, a heat resistant craft mat and heat gun. You’ll also need a spray bottle (or Ranger Mini-mister) pop dots and glue dots. It could get messy - aprons advised. Contact jeani@comcast.net for more info.

Designs in Gesso

Designs in GessoFurther exploring the use of Gesso as texture we will create a small canvas with Gesso and collage. We will stamp into, stencil with and draw freehand in gesso. Will you choose to color your Gesso or leave it white? Please bring scissors and a variety of Paintbrushes. Come and Explore!
