January 2006 |

Welcome to 2006, I am still
writing 05 on my checks, it
takes till around April before I
seem to start getting that
right. I can never keep my
children's ages correct either,
just when I get it down, they
change it. I have trouble with
the year they were born too, but
I don't really have a good
excuse for that.....yet. 2006 is
shaping up to be a wild year for
me. I don't know exactly how it
is going to turn out, but it
will be an interesting ride for
sure, in the end that is what it
all is about, is it not.
Joke of the Month -
A minister decided that a visual
demonstration would add emphasis
to his Sunday sermon. Four worms
were placed into four separate
jars. The first was put in a
container of alcohol. The second
was put into a container of
cigarette smoke. The third was
put into a container of
chocolate syrup. And the fourth
was put into a container of
good, clean soil. At the
conclusion of the sermon, the
minister reported the following
results: Worm in Alcohol = Dead
- Worm in Cigarette = Dead -
Worm in Chocolate = Dead - Worm
in Good, Clean Soil = Alive So,
the minister asked the
congregation, "What can you
learn from this demonstration?"
A little old woman in the back
quickly raised her hand and
said, "As long as you drink,
smoke and eat chocolate, you
won't have worms!"

nothing to be found on the

Barcodes, How could we live without
them. With the amount of work that flows
through the shop we could never keep
track of parts and where they were in
process otherwise. All jobs are tracked
with barcodes throughout the shop, every
operation is recorded, shearing,
punching, deburr, forming, welding,
hardware and outside processes. With
live tracking of all orders Martinek Mfg
can give accurate feedback to all
customers. All thanks to the fine work
of Norman Joseph Woodland, inventor of
the barcode.
